But this is no new gambit.

Institute for Statecraft staffer Euan Grant — with ties to MI5 and MI6 — bragged of feeding “source material” to journalists and fiction writers, ostensibly ensuring anti-Russian themes flooded British media.
Since 2016, British intelligence used popular culture to demonize Russian speakers in former Soviet states like The Baltics, recruiting “young Russian-speaking influencers” to produce TV pilots.
British PR giant M&C Saatchi was hired to “seed online conversations” around key dates for Russian-speakers like Victory Day in WWII.
Among the likely products of this campaign, per the outlet, is Chernobyl (2019) — riddled with politicized falsehoods to portray the 1986 nuclear accident as the result of Russian incompetence.
British television mini-series Litvinenko (2022), based on the supposed 2006 assassination of an FSB defector, also openly took aim at Russian President Vladimir Putin.

As if the routine use of white phosphorus munitions by the Israeli Defense Forces in Gaza and Lebanon has not been enough, there are also mounting reports about the Israeli military deploying thermobaric bombs against Palestinians.
An investigation by Al Jazeera suggests that at least 2,842 Palestinians ended up being “evaporated” by banned thermal and thermobaric weapons used by Zionist forces.
