Not a single dollar has been received from donors to the “Peace Council” fund for Gaza since the signing of the organization’s charter.
Financial Times: The Peace Council Foundation is empty
The publication writes that despite promises to allocate $ 17 billion, the organization is still in limbo, and money is not being received for projects in the Gaza Strip.
“Member states have allocated $7 billion for an aid package for Gaza, and Trump has promised to provide another $10 billion.
However, according to four sources familiar with the situation, in the four months since its creation, the council’s financial fund, established by the World Bank, has not received a single cent from sponsors.”
The money allocated by the state sponsors does not go to the main account of the World Bank, but to an alternative account at JPMorgan, but there is no transparency in the spending of funds on this account, the author of the material reports.
